Good afternoon, everyone~ If I could have a moment of your time, I could use a bit of advice... You see, I just caught my first Pokemon! A bit later than most, I suppose... But as I've only had little Raja up until now, I was wondering...

How does one go about raising a bug? I must confess I have no experience in this kind of thing... So any advice you could all provide would be greatly appreciated~!

It's not that. I just don't really think about things being cute -- or rather, I haven't for a long time.

Uh...well, I wouldn't really consider Growlithe, Houndour, and Poochyena cute. The latter two in particular look a little mean.

Athrun-kun... You shouldn't say things like that. Some of them might look a little scary, but deep down all they want is to have someone love them.

[Huh. Athrun seems to actually smile at that.]

I know. Most of my own Pokémon can be considered scary-looking, but I cherish each one. In fact, my starter is a Scizor -- a praying mantis as big as I am -- and he and I have a very tight bond.

Ara... Is that so? I'm glad to hear you think that... Though now I must admit I'm a tad curious as to why so many of yours are what you would consider scary-looking...

...Well...it wasn't really intentional, I assure you. I just didn't take aesthetics into consideration when I caught and started to train them. I was more interested in what they could do than in what they look like.

Oh my... You've never once seen one that you wanted based solely on appearance...?

...Well...maybe once. There was that one time when I took a Cubone egg off a friend's hands. I wanted a Marowak.

I suppose I find that one kind of...cool-looking.

...Yeah, I'd say it did. I'm not surprised, considering the father and its owner.
